Kathmandu, Rachin Kalakheti, a 21-year-old developer from Manahari Makawanpur, Nepal, has built a $2.5 million startup to solve interoperability problems in Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT).
Kalakheti’s journey began when he was 13 years old and his mother gifted him a laptop. He was immediately drawn to the intuitiveness of the device and began using it to play video games. However, he soon became cunious about how the games were made, which led him to the world of programming and software development.
After exploring multiple areas of technology, Kalakheti found his passion in DLT. He was particularly captivated by the potential of DLT to enable secure and transparent transactions, a capability that was sorely lacking in Nepal due to the lack of reliable financial infrastructure.
Upon enrolling at Stanford University, Kalakheti capitalized on the abundant resources available to him. He immersed himself in the vibrant startup ecosystem of Silicon Valley, the global epicenter of innovation. Attending conferences, networking events, and talk shows allowed him to forge valuable connections and gain crucial insights into the world of entrepreneurship.
Within just two years of studying at Stanford, Kalakheti not only adapted to the American startup landscape but also thrived. His startup, Cedro Finance, is now making waves in the DLT industry. Cedro Finance is a platform that enables users to seamlessly transfer value between different DLT networks. This is a major breakthrough, as it solves the interoperability problems that have long plagued the DLT space.
Kalakheti’s innovative solution has resonated strongly with investors, and he has quickly secured over $2.5 million in funding for Cedro Finance With more than 50,000 users having already tested the platform’s capabilities, it is clear that Kalakheti’s vision is making a significant impact on the DLT industry.
